Hi,

First time advertising something for sale on this forum so here goes. I've been on here for quite a while and got my first Octavia back in 2013. I keep coming back to them because they're great cars and I'm in the process of collecting parts (and cars!!) to build my ultimate Octavia.

Anyway, with that in mind I bought a vRS estate a couple of weeks ago in order to break for parts. It had 17" spiders on it and all the other usual vRS stuff but all I really wanted was the wheels and steering wheel and I thought I could slowly break it and make my money back. However, when I drove it home I realised it really was far too good to break so I pinched the wheels and steering wheel off it and fitted a set of L&K wheels (with good tyres) and an L&K leather steering wheel. I also fitted an L&K variable boot floor to it and gave it a good clean. It's come up really nicely so someone else may as well benefit from it!

It's done 122900 miles and has recently had an alternator, discs and pads all round, four new coilpacks, a battery, full service (inc plugs), cam belt/WP and a G60 flywheel with VR6 clutch. It's MoT'd until 21/05/2017, has service history and the handbook etc. It drives really well, no knocks or bangs or crashing and is very tight, a lot nicer than my 222k TDi!!

There are also a few negatives:

- The bootlid has a small amount of corrosion around the number plate light and underneath the window (it's had a black stripe put under the window to disguise this)

- The N/S/R window doesn't work because the cable is broken (motor operates but no movement and the switch is missing)

- Drivers door microswitch is faulty because the puddle light doesn't illuminate, no lights on buzzer etc.

- There is a very small cigarette burn on the N/S/R seat and despite my best efforts the white carpet is a little grubby (never understood why they fitted white carpet!)

The only reason for selling it is because I've already got x 2 L&K estates, a 4x4 hatch, a 4x4 estate on the way, a TT with a blown engine and a carbon fibre Mini sprint project so I'm seriously running out of room! I'd like to keep this but just can't justify it I'm afraid.
