DELIBERATELY DELAYED RESPONSE

Me: (Fully cogniscent of what's transpiring) "Do go on . . . "

SHORT SILENCE

MAAWGV: "I'm  contacting you about your internet connection" . . . . .

DDR

Me: (In sardonic tone) "Please, tell me more . . . "

SHORT SILENCE

CLICK - handset put down at other end.

For  those yummy mummies out there are contemplating purchasing the latest round of BT anti cold call kit, for future reference, here is the first number to be entered in the handset database - 01391 735842.

Some ****** reading the posts on here ?

Trouble is with BT, with the type of personnel they employ nowadays i.e. either contractor call centres in South Asia or local writer staff just off the boat,  its difficult to know whether you are dealing with the genuine article or scamsters.

In this environment, the precautionary principle applies, assume any unsolicited/unannouced in advance incoming telephone contact is a scam.

As the Donald would say (For effect only among his "Con - stituents") :-

"What a way to run a globalised economy !"
