your threads make very good and interesting reading. If I may I'd like to point the Motoring Ombudsman who is conducting an enquiry into VAG concerning my case.

Until now the ombudsman was unable to  find any reason why the early mileage fault had any validity. I suspect this was a response from VAG rather than the efforts of the Ombudsman's research into numbers of  early mileage Turbocharger Failures.

Clearly there have been recalls and fixes to the Wastegate Actuators for some considerable time.

 

I thank all the members for their responses and help. What a great and considerate Community you have here, long may it go on.

 

I'll try to keep you updated on any progress I make.
