Cannot download from Limewire which I suspect is due to Firewall settings.:thumbdwn: :thumbdwn:

Already tried all the suggestions under "firewall settings"

Zone Alarm is pretty good at blocking everything that trys to get though... but sometimes it's a little too effective :thumbdwn:

If I were you, I'd disable Zone Alarm when when using Limewire, but make sure that you have the XP firewall switched on... as I've found that doesn't conflict with Limewire. If you don't want to use the system firewall, mine also worked fine with McAfee for a long while...

It may not be of help, but I have only ever had problems with Limewire when daughter has been on msn and it seems to totally nack my pooter, I have used Limewire for about 12 months and have had no probs , and I am a computer idiot. Good Luck !

Have you recently updated the Limewire version?

Buy a router Software firewalls suck.

All sorted now.
