Indicator on warning when exiting car

Featured Replies

Ever since I have had the car (SEL 90 April 2015) and I say indicate to park and forget to cancel the indicators I don't get a warning beep when I get out of the car, which I had on my old Skoda, but when I get back into the car it kindly warns me the parking light is on which is a bit late :)  is this a fault Joe

It should tell you that you put the 'Parking Lights' on when the key is out, no idea with KESSY though.

Front and rear sidelight at the side the indicator is down.  Try and see.

You will have to remember and check the Parking Lights are not on, they do run down the battery quicker than is of any use for parking overnight.

As Offski says, my understanding was that the parking lights only functioned if the indicator stalk was moved after the ignition had been turned off. I have tested mine, both with lights off and lights in Auto, with indicator flashing and then turning off ignition and leaving the car. All that happened when I got back in the car and turned the ignition on was that the indicators started flashing again. No warning messages received and no parking lights actually activated.

BTW I have the KESSY GO not the full KESSY.

Does your car do this regardless of the light switch position or only Lights off/Lights Auto/Lights on?

Don't think you have a fault.  When I am cleaning mine and I knock the indicator stalk either up or down, I get a warning sound to tell me the parking lights are activated (ignition off).  Hope this helps.
