Skoda Citigo - Wing Mirror

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have clipped my Citigos driver side mirror and the glass has shattered and the main case has snapped.

Quite simply, how do I rectify this?

Where do you start?

Many Thanks.

Replacement mirror glass and covers will be available from the dealer.

Cap (This is for the left side not right.... Couldn't find right for some reason) - http://www.skodaparts.com/product/citigo-mirror-cap-outer-left-2012-2016-50959

The body coloured cap section will need to be painted as they come in bare plastic.

Thanks Wavey Davey.

Is this the most cost effective way to do it? Including labour how much do you think it will cost?

Can a local bodyshop do this instead of the dealer?

Can I not just order the parts and do it myself?

Depending on how handy you are you could buy the required parts and fit them yourself. I know others who have done in the past. Most bodyshops would paint the replacement cap (If required of course) for a small cost.

I've seen some mirror units on eBay. They're not brand new though.

Yes there is also the option of getting second hand parts from a breakers either in person or online. The links I posted above are for new parts and from a dealer.... My local dealer in this case.

With my previous car, I had damage to my wing mirror and got a replacement from a company called Wing Mirror Man based in Bury near Manchester. The replacement was about half the price of the one quoted by a main dealers and I fitted it myself after searching the web for instructions and I seem to remember that the part came with a set of diagrams. I have just checked and the Skoda Citigo is not shown as being a model that is on their list but it may be worth giving them a ring for advice.

Thanks all!

I have had a proper look in day light and it is only the trim and glass I need.

Could I buy the glass any cheaper from anywhere other than Skoda Parts?

Is a little expensive but obviously need the clip on one.
