rear picnic tables

Featured Replies

after making a comment on another post I was wondering if anybody had removed these tables from the front seats and if so what fixings remained and do they need to be covered/plugged and if so what with because we don't really need the tables and it would add a bit more leg room in the rear for passengers?

Optional extra from new - not standard on any model.

Looks like anything put on the trays will neatly slide into your lap! Wet trousers all round.

That's not mine, I've not got them.

It's a picture off the net, I don't know if they are adjustable.

Can anyone clarify this? Do the tables fold down 'flat'?

Of course.  Shows that 'AFAIR' isn't very!  :emoticon-0101-sadsmile:

These came fitted as std on the L & K Fl (I think) and yes front seats do need to be upright when using them, they are ok but I  would prefer a bit more leg room in the rear and was interested if anybody had removed them and were there any holes left before I attempted to remove them.

You could always just fold them down... ;-)

I sat in a FL L&K with them fitted in the dealer last year when we ordered ours. Even folded down they reduce knee clearance probably by 1-2 inches so I can understand wanting to remove them if you have tall passengers :-)

Paveyark......they ARE folded down when not in use,but I feel they restrict legroom by a couple of inches,SO that's why I want to remove them, but I don't want to see open holes in the back of the seat, hence the first post.

If they are screwed to the frame of the seat then there is bound to be some holes in the covering, I would have though.

This is what I was thinking. Hence the original question and what do the seats without tables have, blanking plugs or do holes have to be made to fit.?

Well there are no holes covered over on my seats, so I suspect they are a specific cover
