Skoda fun lowering springs and shocks, and brakes

Featured Replies

Hi

I am after any advice on lowering springs and shocks, also any advice on fitting polo gti engine (for Ecu and electrics side of things as it is pretty much in the pick up now!) and also I was looking to use the polo gti brakes!

Thanks

Tom

This thread should cover the lowering:

as for the polo gti the front brakes won't fit but if it's a 6n2 gti the whole rear disc brake assembly should bolt straight on.

For the front you'd be better off using mk1 mondeo calipers and kia 256mm discs.

That's great thanks! Is that a 20v t in your Felicia?

No problem, yeah it is a 1.8t!

What engine have you put in yours exactly, 1.6 16v AVY?

Yea it's having a avy engine code, my brothers garage is doing the lot! Found these discs

Struggling to find mk1 mondeo calipers

using the ecu and pedal switch from the polo but not to sure on how much work there is in that!IMG_1778.JPG

Those discs look like the correct ones.

I've never done that so not too sure either.

Another way to do it though would be to fit a 1.4 16v AFH head onto the 1.6 16v AVY bottom end.

That way you can use the wiring from a 1.6 AEE Felicia, cable throttle, 1.4 ecu (fits in place of original ecu) with no splicing to do as you can match it with VCDS so you can use the original Skoda key.

Also already drawings on here for the custom mount you would need.

I have a 1.4 16v AFH powerd whip nu99et18 bumpers look sweet on the town whip
