RS4 replica rims bought and fitted

Featured Replies

As per the title, they need a clean but it's raining out so save that for another day...

That looks great, where did you get the rims from?  I was looking at some of these for a while but decided to go for 17" instead as I'm old and have put comfort over style.  Seeing these has got me thinking again....

They were 2nd hand from a guy down here in Croatia, ~£400 including all but brand new Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres

Fronts are pretty much new, there's some chewing on the edges of the rears, after all they're 19s!!  Not more than a couple of mm though, I'm looking out for a possible refurb down here to make them perfect

Based on a few hours driving today the ride is *just* noticeably more jiggly and crashy over the 18" Neptunes I had before (coincidentally also with Eagle F1 tyres) but more noticeably controlled in the corners, if that makes sense

If you can deal with the comfort, or lack thereof, of the 18s, but really want 19s, I'd say just got for it :)

19s look great, I had them on my last car.  Thing is though, riding on 17s now is like floating on a magic carpet in comparison.  I'm not sure I could go back to bigger wheels!:emoticon-0101-sadsmile:

Yeah, I know the feeling, just out of shot of the photo above is my UK car, Volvo XC70, 215/65R16s

I know which one I'm glad I'll be driving the 2,000km back to the UK in a few weeks time... ;)

Well, impatient me, rain or no rain, had to nip out and give them a quick clean, look much blingier now...

Might get them refurbished or might just touch up the black bits with the missus' nail varnish, if they get a refurb I'm toying with going graphite

Anyway, pictures!!

They really suit the car the RS4 wheels.  Have you ever considered a subtle drop in ride height to counteract the arch gap?

It's next on the planned modifications list, closely followed by the stage 1 tune and window tints...

I'd like to do it properly with springs and new shocks if possible, I'm waiting for word of whether a project is going ahead next month back in the UK before committing more money to the car as I've already spent ~£700 on her in the last couple of weeks!!

I also need to get a suspension shop to have a look, the Audi wheels don't have an offset stamped on them but by fitment I'd guess they're ET35, whatever they are they're pretty wide and I'd like to get a professional opinion on how low I can go before I get any rubbing issues... :)

Just an update, as per the thread over in the wheels section, my mechanic doesn't think I'll have any issues with the wheels as they are, even when lowered :)
