What's the key for?

Featured Replies

I'm sure someone on this forum will know, but why does the keyless start SE L, without key operated doors locks, have a key blade tucked into the fob?  Seems redundant?

Also, I've noticed the windscreen wipers will only lift an inch or so from the windscreen before they strike the upper edge of the bonnet.  I'm guessing that's to help with aerodynamics, but is it therefore a problem when the time comes to change the blades?  Certainly, there's no leaving the wipers in the fully 'up' position, when parked overnight, to avoid their freezing solid in heavy snow.

Key will be for emergencies

Wipers can be parked in the middle of the screen as listed in the manual

Think it's ign on ign off then wiper switch to on

Or something like that read the book it's all in there

The key is to get into the car if the key fob fails or the cars  batteries flat. The hand book tells you how to do it I have never had to try it and my car will be 2 yrs old in April though I have had to change the battery in the key fob it's lasted between 10 and 11 months so I am on my 3rd battery probably worth keeping a spare in the car though the maxidot warns you when to change it.

Windscreen wiper turn ignition on then off then pull windscree wiper arm down straight after and the blades will park. Joe

There is a lock in the doors, its just under a cover.
