Have had a quote from a reputable garage for fitting of a cat-back Milltek, lowering springs, and a service with me supplying all the bits. I work in the trade but not directly with the garages so I would expect a little discount but these look like Autodata rates. Whats peoples thoughts?

  • Interim service 1.5hrs £90.00 incl vat
  • Full service 2.0hrs £120.00 incl vat
  • Exhaust system (cat back) 1.5hrs £90.00 incl vat
  • Front lowering springs 2.3 £138.00 incl vat
  • Rear lowering springs 1.2 £60.00 incl vat

The 1.5 hours for a 'Minor Service' is nonsense as is the 2 hours on the Major.

What they doing on each service is what matters really.

So £50 an hour plus vat.

What is reputable about them?  Is this a good reputation for not over charging and doing a good job, if so best use them unless you have other recommendations

from people you trust in their opinion.

They are in business to earn a living why should they give a discount to someone in the Motor Trade?
