Tyre Type On On Screen Display

Featured Replies

I was going through the settings on the display the other day and it shows the tyre type as "Wiinters"

Looked but I couldn't find a way to change the setting as I'm running standard tyres that came with the car from new.

Can it be changed by the user or does it have to coded by the dealers ?

The Winter Tyre setting on the infotainment is to set a speed warning if Winter Tyres are fitted that have a lower speed rating than Summer tyres. No need to do anything if you are running standard tyres.

As above, the winter tyre menu should have an option underneath it for setting a speed warning.

Winter tyres often have a lower speed rating than summers so it lets you turn the warning on or off depending on your tyre type.

You can of course leave this set all the time to remind the other half when she's exceeding the speed limit ;)

Yep. I set it with a number to remind me that I should think about slowing down
