soft coilovers

Featured Replies

hi guys,

got to ask, the car is fitted with coilovers, there very bouncy and seems to bang and rattle alot, is ths a comon thing wih coilovers? i was going to buy standard and remove coilovers.

any suggestions

Which coilovers have you got, not all coilovers are created equal. The cheap end of the market has some pretty poor excuses for coilovers.

And may be sold as mk1 octavia but are actually golf mk4 and they aint rated correctly for the load difference in the bigger octavia..

i dont know as there corroded to much to see a make, but the springs are blue. i am driving a estate, unsure ifi should get a new set of coilovers or standard back on

Depends on your budget. I personally wouldn't bother with cheap coilovers - chances are they will ruin the ride and not last as long as standard shocks/springs. In fact I don't think I'd bother with coilovers at all unless you're going to be taking it round a track.

tbh its just a work commuter and muel for my triathlon gear. ill keep my eyes out for standard and bin these crap things i got atm. thanks

IMO go with bilstein B4 dampers (high quality OEM replacement) and a set of standard springs. B4s are cheaper and better than OEM.
