Have managed to have an argument with an unseen rockery (pretty sneaky things rockeries)  and have grazed the front left hand corner of the bumper near the fog light and put a small dent in it, fortunately the  light is undamaged. Wonder if anyone has used Chips Away or as I live in Newcastle upon Tyne can suggest a good paint repairer in the general area. Reluctant to go to Silbury Skoda at Cramlington where I bought the car as I am sure they would charge a fortune and probably outsouce the work anyway. Never used chips away 

Phoned them when I damaged the roomster and the guy was supposed to ring me the next day 

Week later he phoned wanting the to take the car to him 

 

Told him no thanks and used a local smart repair guy 

They're hit and miss - I've used them on a few of my cars, with mixed results.

Indeed. They are all supposed to be the same but, as with most franchises, they range from brilliant to so-so. Had brilliant service from their place in Colchester some years ago...I was on the same industrial estate for a meeting so left the car with them. Used a local guy here a while ago and he was not terribly good...kept on telling me he couldn't guarantee  to get it right, so my risk. We didn't part friends.
