What a mess I did .. perforated leather and ventilated seats

Featured Replies

Guys help me I made a mistake ... I wanted to cleanse and nourish the perforated leather of my superb. Gently I try to pour a little of the product in the picture of a sponge. But through it all I fall so directly on the seat. Oh well I do not care. I sit quietly and with the sponge, using circular movements, I try to clean it all.

Well after a little known that the seat has the lighter parts (the parts where I fell the product directly .... as if the holes were blocked) and other darker. In the photos I circled the parties involved

I'm afraid of doing irreparable damage. Look at the pictures and give me advice. I'm also afraid of damaging the fans (I would not suggestionarmi but those seat indicted the noisiest feel my driver's side on which I have not done any operation).

Help me please.

Place the seat pictures where you notice the difference in color and product.

I'd try to soak up as much as I can using a paper towel. If its really that bad then maybe a paper towel dampened with mild detergent/soap solution. The perforation should/will clean up once the "product" has dried a bit - I assume it is some kind of leather care lotion. If it is still very fresh and liquid, you may as well try vacuuming it to "free" the perforation holes.

I did the same thing on perforated black leather seats a few years ago. The white cream looked horendous in all the black leather perforations at first but soon worn in and wasn't noticeable after a while. Luckily I tried it on the driver's seat so it had a lot more wear than the others. I am good at reading instructions and don't recollect any warnings about not using it on perforated leather.

As above I have the SII L&K with ventilated seats and suffered the same fate. The perforations allowed the cleaning agent to more easily soak in as the surface is treated and not the inside of the perforations but it does go with time especially when you do the whole seat :D

I'm still not convinced the seats are real leather. I just wipe with a damp cloth and avoid creams.
