Just a quickie since I can't find it using the search, but can anyone give me some info on what I would need to strip from a factory fit phone system to transfer into my octy? (Photo's would help if available)

 

Quite a few newly delivered octy's down my scrappy so thought I'd look and see if there's anything worth taking, the phone system being one, but I realised I don't know what I'm looking for and where so would probably end up with half the kit!!

You can remove the BT module easily enough, probably under one of the front seats.

 

The wiring probably isn't worth it, you can pick up wiring kits with everything you need cheaply enough.

Cheers. WIth the wiring, are you talking about the mic as well or is that something I should be looking for at the same time. Any idea what the BT module looks like, ie. will it be obvious with a bloody big BT stamped on it; don't want to take an amp hme by mistake! Presume wiring up and then coding into a bolero should be fairly easy??

You can also get ones with foam covers to hide the BT module.

Just be aware that not all BT modules are compatible with all cars so you should check the part number of any BT modules you find.

Yeah, looking at getting down there next monday after nights fella, hopefully what I saw will still be there. I'll let you know either way, but even if it isn't, they seem to pop up down there every other time I go so they're fairly consistant. We'll get you one dude, don't worry.

Just a thought; how much should I be looking at as a reasonable price for just the box then? How much do they go for on ebay, etc.?
