Your not going to believe this but my daughter managed to get a plastic bag sucked into the passenger side floor vent today. It was like a Hoover sucking up a moth then made this purring sound like a motorbike revving when I run the fan.

 

could someone direct me to the most likely place this bag has been lodged so I can remove it!!

 

the sound is awe full!!

Sounds like it is stuck in the fan housing and catching on the blades.

Disaster over!! I managed to pull out the bag from behind the glove box/fan housing.
