When propted to say something good about my Skoda the mechanic said the tyres had quite a lot of wear left in them.

Some people just don't understand

Needless to say it didnt work, I sharnt be visiting that garage again.

It could have been that the chat was more as the person at the petrol station was bored stiff. As for BP being overpriced - yeah you could say that again, 4p a liter more :eek: and that's for the standard derv.

btw Goochie your car is still cleaner than mine - may try to pressure wash the worst off as it's going in Sunday for a bunch of suspension & 312mm work Not that I'm a badge snob but SWMBO's Kia is looking more shiney than my vRS :( can't be having that :P

I've been surprised people's responses to my car too. For a fairly common car, people do comment on it. I reckon that it's mostly to do with the fact that it's a 'Skoda' though.

Middle-aged blokes say,

"Sensible choice",

blokes my age say,

"looks good that, for a Skoda",

young lads say ,

"they really go"

and women say,

"That's a nice colour" and want to have my children.

I've had a few younger blokes (20ish) in the UK compliment my car and comment on how fast they are.

In NZ at the vehicle testing centre I had about five people come over to look at the car and ask what it was. One said "can you make my car look that pretty too?"

Then the lad in the petrol station complimented it too!
