SHE'S BACK, but............................................

Featured Replies

ok, the barnsley one is back!!!!

my octy finally came back after being repaired, but i picked it up in the dark and i ain't satisfied

the cargo net opposite the cd changer is still broken

there is still silver finger print dust everywhere and it's an **** to remove

there are still red dye spots on one of the door panels

the n/s headlamp bulb must have blown while it was away, the hot glass from the buld has melted into the reflector which makes the headlamp look awful

when they refitted the headlamp they didn't fit it correctly, to start with i drove home and the headlamp fuse blew, i changed it and it blew this morning so i decided to look at the bulb, the headlamp had been fitted so the bulb cover wont stay on as the wire clip is jammed against the front panel. the plug wasn't fitted correctly (probably causing the fuse to blow) and the electric adjuster no longer works correctly

the question is

i chose the repairing garage (local VW main dealer) so am i still able to complain? also, am i just being fussy? after all the bill for the insurance company came to almost

Complain, and tell the insurance company repairs are not upto scratch, take photo's and ask them to get it sorted as they are paying the bill.

Yeah, if it's not how it was before, then you won't be satisfied. COMPLAIN!

Yes , definitely complain to both the dealer and insurance company in writing.

daddy2coull

I would say "OI SORT IT!!!!" If it's not upto scratch get them to sort it .

You must complain - otherwise you will never be happy with the car again.

Hope you can get it sorted quickly

Definitely complain. The insurance company will insist on the work being done properly to the dealer, and IMHO if the dealer didnt do the job properly they need to correct it - the fact the insurance picks up the bill doesn't really come into it from that angle. That said they may have to put the pressure on the dealer to sort it.

Feeling sorry for you though, considering the amount of grief you've already had to go to :(
