What's a stage 1 tfsi as quick as?

Featured Replies

Probably been done to death this topic but can't find what I'm looking for on search and as I'm gona be getting my vrs remapped in next few week as you can guess I'm hungry for info! Lol what kinda car would be on par with a remapped stage 1 tfsi?

Stage 1 takes the car to about 240bhp. My mate had a mk3 Focus st last year for a few weeks. Lovely car btw but mine feels as quick as that car. That car sounded nice inside though due to that noise channeling trickery thar Ford uses.

0-60 is probably about 6.5secs with around 240hp. On the subject of the ST, the stock exhaust on the ST 250 is quite good too. Wish they'd fit something louder as standard to the VRS models :(

My stage one estate is about evenly matched to a Fiesta ST up to about 80mph.

Yes i agree. Not booming loud but something fruity would've been nice. I suppose it's the market the car was in i.e family saloon. Although my old Seat FR was too quiet as well. Maybe a vag thing.

Also as I've found out you can run stage 2 from super chips by just removing the precat rather than decatting or fitting a sport cat

the only issue they said I may of had is a few boost codes, but it runs perfectly fine and runs much stronger, they give figures of up to 263bhp and much quicker spool up and lower end torque for Just 50 quid on top

This was what mine did. Measured using the torque app.

Shark Stage 1 remap, Ramair induction, Magnex Cat back, pre cat delete( after remap) , golf R intercooler.
