Finally got a VRS

Featured Replies

After 6 years of driving a 2006 1.9tdi Elegance i have finally bagged myself a corcker of a VRS.  2011 2.0tfsi Estate in Gunmetal. 45.5k miles full service history, full leather and for great price.

Only when i picked it up did i find it already has a Shark Performance STS! First owner had it but guy i got it from didnt know too much about it! Will hipefully get to grips with it soon. Aside from that its standard.

First up is the bluetooth interface. Any recommendations!?

Nice buy, and nice luck with the shark map!

First question: has the timing chain tensioner been replaced?  2011 is still within the 'age of worry' for me so I'd be looking at having that done ASAP if it hasn't yet been done.

Budget around £650 from an independent garage, or of course far more from a Skoda dealer. Had mine done last year, just in case! They are great cars, I am certainly very happy with mine and intend to keep it for a few years yet.

Congrats. Get some pics up.

I have a 2011 in grey - love it!
