No more Orange email.

Featured Replies

Had an email off Orange/EE last night informing Me that from the 31' May their entire email service will cease to function.Spent today backing up all My emails and updating all My various accounts (BT,Amazon etc) to My new gmail address.

Mmm, I've not heard anything about that and I've got an Orange/EE mail account from the old Freeserve days.

I've not heard anything either  - be a bit annoyed if they scrap the system.

Edit:

just googled and came up with this:

I personally wanted to give you an update on the email service.

After 31st May 2017 you’ll no longer be able to use your Orange Email address or access your Orange inbox.

We are sending out emails to all customers who are affected by this change in service in the next few weeks.

The webmail service will be closing for the following addresses:

  • Orange.net
  • Orangehome.co.uk
  • Wanadoo.co.uk
  • Freeserve.co.uk
  • Fsbusiness.co.uk
  • Fslife.co.uk
  • Fsmail.net
  • Fsworld.co.uk
  • Fsnet.co.uk

We’ve put together a Help article with details of the closure, step-by-step guides and links to other useful information but if you have any questions please ask below.

Looks like it true - you'll only get 30days notice as well.  gits.

Good call I know my outlaws have an old freeserve address they use for business.

Good god this is a right pain in the donkey.  At least 30 different accounts to update ....

Might kill a bit of spam though :)

Yeah, the simple job of changing your email is turning out to be a nightmare. How some company's allow you to log in and simply change your email and others it is impossible to change online and you have to phone and wait in a call queue for hours just to change your contact email, Grrrrrrrr.

I thought it was just 30 but it's more like 50....

I hate to be doing this in a rush.  So far haven't had to ring anyone and have managed to change them online.

Nightmare, last time I had this issue was with my @talk21.com email address

I find these days it is best to view your email using Outlook or a client similar then regularly backup the PST file, this saves a lot of work in the event you need to back it all up.

Is yours still on yahoo mail or BTs own? They messed up the migration and never seemed to resolve it.

It was with Yahoo when I used it, got fed up with the whole way it was managed and switched to an hotmail account which I still use today :)
