algnment readings

Featured Replies

Hey folks.

Not long got two new front tyres (michelin pilot sport 3) and an alignment

feels miles better now but still not perfect

There seems to be play in the steering/suspension somewhere. Alignment place said it's in the rack. it's really not that much but may change it in the future

My question is more about some of the parameters of the alignment readout. Most things were not too bad considering the car is lowered 40mm at the front and 35 at back

I've attached the readout and wonder if someone can help me understand it. It seems there is "setback" out of spec.

Is this where the wheels on one side are set back relative to other side or possibly a variation in wheelbase side to side?

Wondering if it's likely a bend at the back or front causing this.

also seems camber is out at the back. something bent?

Hopefully the picture is visible...

Thanks for any advice!

Caster  angle is not measured, caster angle is setting setback angle.

Rear axle is very simple on Fabia vrs, possible coil spring in your case. But i think that left coil spring is bad in your case, it think it is saggy, try to measure distance from the floor to the arch, on level ground and with both tires checked for pressure.

Left side has to be lower than right.

-39' ± 30'

4° 42' ± 30'

These are nominal values for sport suspension, firs tone is toe, and second one is caster angle.

If you changed coil spring, toe can be more negative, but it would be normal that angle is close one side to another.

My guess is left coil spring.

Dude, the numbers are TINY, well within tolerance for a secondhand car, there are no parameters which differ enough to indicate any damage whatsoever.

Sometimes a little information can be too much. FYI 30' is half a degree.

Thanks! I guess I'm just being cautious about it before I spend much money on it
