Cruise control doesn't work after replacing

Featured Replies

So my cruise control stopped working a while ago(I have Pre-Fl 2008, 1.6 petrol), cleaned it - nothing. So I bought a replacement stalk replaced it and it still doesn't work.

I don't have any OBD2 tools but my question is - could there be a code that needs clearing or could the problem be deeper on something other failing?

I had a problem with Radio - it turned off at louder volumes and that was a problem due to rotten DC cable so I got a new one wirred, I thought maybe the same could've happened to

the live wire for Cruise Control

Thanks!

Its likely you need the new stick coded in vcds.

Im sure a garage will do it (skoda charge around £75p/h for that kinda thing though). Otherwise a member local to you might have vcds and could do it.

Its possible the car thinks its just a normal stalk and the canbus system doesnt know what you are trying to do when you turn the cruise on
