Have decided to move on dear friends, and am grateful for the help given and some interesting stories and views. I have invested in a Ford Mondeo Vignale estate, auto with AWD. Purchased as a demo with £10,000 off, and about 2000miles. Decided to leave VAG group after dieselgate.

That's a good discount, should offset most of the hit.
