Flash player 10 Plugin? / advice

Featured Replies

The two Flash programs I have installed are - Flash player 10 plugin

                                                                - Flash player 25 ActiveX

I know the ActiveX is the latest / up to date version but the Flash Player 10 Plugin was installed 2011, possibly installed from new.

Is this plugin (a) Likely necessary if I use IE and / or Google Chrome browsers. (I believe the ActiveX is specifically for IE)???

                    (b) Does it need updating, and how to check / do it?

                    (c) Safe to uninstall if not necessary?

                    (d) or is it part of the ActiveX?

Trying to tidy and speed up my computer and further enhance security - my mates lad has helped and we have reduced programs from circa 86 to 60.

Running Processes has reduced from 100+ to 70+ (unless that is the programs)?

My Intel Turbo Boost Monitor has started working again.

I had a message stating that 'Microsoft Office Starter may be corrupted', (coincidentally just the day before he looked at it).

Somehow we ended up removing this altogether, so therefore I lost my 'Word Starter', and need to get this back if this can be done?

And does the Flash Player ActiveX automatically update itself?, or how do I check update settings?

Cheers guys.

If you use a browser like Firefox (possibly Chrome) you can selectively enable flash as and when you actually need it and per site.

But if you can do without Flash it's a good thing
