Door height

Featured Replies

Picked up my SE Technology Estate on Tuesday.

Absolutely loving it.

Wondering if anyone has had an issue with door height / alignment?

Passenger door has dropped. The bottom corner at the pillar / rear is out of alignment. When looking along the length of the car the door sticks out proud.

I noticed this on day 3 as my alarm went off 3 times and I couldn't work out why. No one had been in the passenger side at that point. Seems the door wasn't shutting correctly.

The delivery driver owned up to hitting a roundabout in the snow as one of my alloys was marked but can't see any other marks on the car. Think the door / alarm issue is just a build problem.

Supplying garage is dropping a sport line off next week and taking mine back to look at the issues.

Hope it's just a blip after the 3 years of jip with my rapid.IMG_20170325_131533_01_01.jpg

Make sure they check the suspension/steering components thoroughly. If he 'hit' a roundabout in the snow that could mean something quite innocuous like catching the kerb, hidden by the snow, on the way or out of the roundabout or something more significant at some pace. It's surprising sometimes how a little bump can cause significant damage. In any event, they should check and, if required, reset the geometry.

It's annoying when these things happen but what is important is how the dealer responds. It seems your dealer is quickly on the case.

Good luck

Yes, thanks.

Very small scuff on one alloy. Doesn't look like a "hit" . But you are right, you never know.

Pia, but better to get it fixed now.

Also my front sensors going postal today. Turns out the garage have not listened to us, front number plate glued on rather than screwed on as requested. Was flapping slightly.
