Thanks I only picked up the car sat typically I didn't notice it until this morning. I have e-mailed the dealer and will call tomorrow but they are 160 miles from me. Does anyone know if these clip on? Or the skoda part number? To me they look like they are glued. I don't know the previous owner managed to to break it.

Parts catalogues I've looked in do not show the chrome trim as a separately available part.

Looks like they may be able to help.

Thanks I'm not happy as it is I cannot believe I did not see it on the test drive but I've moved the steering wheel a bit today so maybe that was it. I'll get in touch with the dealer tomorrow it's a main skoda agent and see what they say.

The dash is generic across lots of VAG cars, for example the Tiguan, so it might be worth looking at them as well.
