Yellow Monte Carlo

Featured Replies

Atfter starting a new thread about buying a Monte carlo and getting some positive replies, we now have one. It's yellow with black roof, it's diesel and 1t's 2013 with 15k on the clock. It is spotless and is very nice to drive(i may get another chance to drive it) Wife loves it and is taking it on a 380 mile round trip tomorrow. Hoping that mpg will be as good as our mk1 vrs. Here's a pic of the Daffodil.IMG_0101.JPG

Yellow always is a nice colour, goes well with the black.

I get better MPG from my mk2 Monte Carlo than I got from my mk1 vrs.

I have spoken to our local diesel specialist about tuning it. It will be tuned once it's out of warranty. I was told that if it is remapped, the new map could be wiped if it goes to dealer for service, and they plug in their machine and it does a software update. He also said that its not quite as good as a remap but a tunit box could be an option for us.

If you are getting a Re-map once the warranty is over why would you go to a Main Dealer for servicing,?

but if you did you would just say', Do not do a Software Update' it has a Remap, & please write that on the instructions with 'Do not Wash it'.

Thank you for the advice. After owning a mk1 vrs, nothing seems quite as quick. As the miles are going to be piling on, it wont be long and the warranty will run out.
