Drivers Side Auto Dimming Mirror Not working

Featured Replies

Hello my Brethren Skoda Gang,

Noticed on the way to work this morning that the Dimming function is not working on the drivers side door mirror.

the passenger side is working fine as is the rear view mirror which drives the auto dimming function.

Was wondering if this is just merely a straight glass replacement in the drivers side mirror or are more sinister Gremlins at work.

the cars Providence is that I have owned it from new, it is 5 years old, done 126450 miles and not had any issues like this before.

I am a glasses wearer so the auto dimming is a MUST.

Do any of you guys have any suggestions?

The auto dimming in the mirror will be built into the mirror glass and can be replaced.  It will probably cost about £300 for the replacement mirror so its worth pop off the mirror to check the connection aren't loose.
