Hybrid Turbo mk1 Fabia vrs

Featured Replies

Hey the old kkk turbo blew on the fabia so I'm looking for a hybrid was wondering which ones you guys have fitted to your cars. Ideally I don't want to spend too much but I can if it's worth it :)

speak to xman on here.    1749v hybrid might be best and easiest option for you.

They don't take power, they give it.

No point in buying a much bigger turbo with the standard intercooler.

As mentioned, probably best to get a pd150 turbo. new there around £600 or so used they can go for as little as £150.

Will push out a max of around 190bhp

My 1749v with VC internals is sitting at 213.6bhp.

Its got a bit left power wise, its running a safe 1.5 bar.

Its with Airtec FMIC and a few other supporting mods.  Stage 2 clutch being done to.

If you go down this route I think your looking at 2k and thats if you do the work yourself.

Rebuilt charger is a good option, but most dont want that kkk in pt ex.

Thanks guys, Spoken to Xman and we've found a solution :)

Keep us posted gege. Out of curiosity I'm interested in what route you are going.

Was speaking to xman for a while and I've gone for a 1752 hybrid as I wouldn't want more than 220bhp as this car needs to be reliable for the most part. The plan is to map the car to a safe 180 bhp. Just means I've got breathing room turbo wise if I wanted to go for more power with supporting mods. I.e. Front mount clutch and pd150 head bolts.

Whats the clutch like??
