the chrome surround part on the front grill

hi does anyone no how this comes off the chrome surround ive just had a look as i want to get it carbon hydro dipped but it looks like its glued on anyone removed this cheers kev

I have removed it to get mine painted

Yes grill off the car then split the chrome part from the plastic part.

Then sent the chrome part to be painted.

Open the bonnet and look at the back of the grill and you will see a single torx fastener in the middle at the top and a row of smaller fasteners at the bottom. Remove these and the grill should pull away from the bonnet. There are some extra clips that can be quite fragile but are readily available on ebay. I found pushing a 6mm socket over the tails of the clips squashed them enough to allow for easy removal.
