Hi all, probably been asked before but does anybody know how easy it is to change the dials to the Vrs version on a fabia? Can the colour be changed to that wicked blue VW are using?

I asked My friendly neighbourhood Skoda dealer about changing my Fabia vRS dash lights to the red that Audi/SEAT use and it cannot be done as the speedo unit is sealed, it even includes the warning buzzer, so if that goes out of warranty it's the best part of

typical red tape crap!

Tell me about it, the red lights would look great with my digital radio, but it looks out of place now.

what did you do exactly? did you just swap an instrument panel from a golf in place of the one your octavia had? do the plugs and everything fit?

what about the dot matrix display at the centre? mine only has a number of warning lights in the centre part where you got the dot matrix display.

i still have to go thoroughly through all the posts in this thread ax i've only skimmed them through to tell you the truth but i'd appreciate if you can give a small summary of what happened....
