Windscreen replaced, need advice

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I had my windscreen replaced today following a impact with something a few days ago, all seemed and probably is however I would like some advice.

I have noticed since the new screen has gone in that there appears to be an air bubble partly over what I assume is a sensor for something or other, is this going to cause me any issues?  I haven't had a chance to take the car out for some night time driving yet nor do I know if they are sensors/what they are.

See pictures below,

Thanks for the replies :)

I'm sure that's the rain/light sensor. Test it tonight when it's dark. See if the headlights come on as expected in the dark. Set auto wipers to be on, and splash some water over the windscreen where the sensor is located.

Conversely while it's still light, check the headlights don't come on and that the wipers activate unnecessarily.

Should give you an indication on whether something is up.
