Hi, has anybody done this themselves i have found the sensor but, there is the oil filter and an air pipe blocking the way. the air pipe looks straight forward to move out of the way. the oil filter can this be removed without draining the oil.??

If you state which engine you have, you might get more of a reponse.

 

Generally though, I dont think there'll be a problem just removing the filter. Measure how much oil is lost and replace with the correct grade.
