Does anyone know the modification within VCDS to change the lux at which the headlights activate/de-activate?

You can change it within the lights settings on the infotainment. As far as I know - and I'm sure I've read - that's the only adjustment available either with or without VCDS etc.

Go into the Lights settings in the car settings via the Radio.

 

You should find some tick boxes with Early/Medium/Late tick the box you require and that should sort it. I have mine set to Early.

Don't believe it is possible to change the actual value in VCDS.
