was at the dealer today. drove a nice vRS race blue 17inchs and no options. Problably the same spec as what I will get.

Discussing discounts with the salesman basically said its not possible to discount, and I told him can you offer anything like and broker and he said basically no! I think he was a bit offended lol.

How can drive the deal offer 1100 of the OTR price? has anyone gone this route with the vrs or other octavia? I seriously considering purchasing from drive the deal next month.

I was told the same by Mitchells, however when I pressed them they gave me the proft they would have made on the options I had -- that saved me just over 600quid

If you don't mind having the demonstrator I am sure your dealer could do a pretty good deal on that!.

Just ordered a Fabia vRS threw Drive the deal. within two days I had written comfirmation of the order from them and a main dealer had been intouch to say they had ordered my car and would i fill in the obligatory finance disclaimers insurance etc. 10/11 weeks to delivery. Explained the discount offered was due to hitting every target/ bonus skoda gave and this was due to brokerage business. Deposit paid on card (so protected there) and balance to be paid on delivery of car. Car wil be same as if I had walked into their showroom of the street, just the price differs.

Yes, drive the deal do exactly what they say they do; and the result of their discount plus the 700 quid off offer Skoda had last September was a cracking 2K (almost) off the list on a 1.6 FSI Ambiente. Best my local dealer could offer was 250 quids worth of free petrol. He did look about 16 though.
