Smartgate is not available in Australia. If I source it from EU (say http://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/shop/smart-gate-fatigue-recognition-2/oem-5e0063218-smart-gate-for-skoda/) and get it installed here, should it simply work? or something else will be disabled / will void warranty?

any reason?
85€ option box EI9 Smartgate, which i selected, doesn't worth it.
in your case this will go three times more expensive -
160 device + shipping + installing

 

exactly same car data info can be got by 5-15€ ODBII Bluetooth plug&play dongle from Ali

 

i have both of them and don't use them, just played 1+3 times

Thanks.. Well I wanted to use the Skoda apps and i love stats and gadgets :P .. I am also planning to get OBDEleven for modding.. will that work with the app? 

 

I can get it for 160 Euro delivered from a place.. and hopefully installation can be free or yeah a few more bucks.. 

 

Does it keep the recordings and when you connect your Skoda app it shows all history? Or its only live data - so will show data only of the live car run at that moment?
