Thought it was about time to sign up.Been owner of a 62 plate Octavia VRS diesel in rallye green since last May.My son was due to take his driving test in the June so decided i would look to buy a 58 59 plate VRS just for a runaround and abit of fun.He would get my daily drive a 63 plate mini countryman which he had designed when we originally bought....black alloys and all that.Anyway i was driving back from Scunthorpe one evening and a blue 62 plate VRS came shooting by.I hadnt realised that the mk2 was still available on a 62 plate so home i went to look.Found my VRS in rallye green at Evans Halshaw Leeds(wouldnt buy another car from them as long as i live)the car was presented in a terrible state....so much dirt.Fortunately i could see through all the crap.loved the colour which i hadnt seen before.Loved the car and thats how i ended up with it.I love the thing.Downside is.My other car a Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 hasnt got to see much daylight since my Vrs turned up.It seemed like to much trouble to move stuff in my garage to get her out when the Skoda was on the drive .both of them put a smlie on my face for different reasons. The car had been well looked after by the previous keeper apart from the dirt. She has flown through mot had a service and i got the water pump and belt changed so that i know its been done.looking forward to many happy years with her(the Vrs). And my son passed his test on the second attempt so is now the proud owner of the Mini.Had the Sapphire for 20 years.....wonder if the Skoda will stay as long.

Hello tc248carl welcome along to the Skoda forum good to have you with us :)glad it was only the dirt that was wrong on the Octavia the trouble with Evans Halshaw they want a quick turnover when they got the sale you've got to chase them.

Good to see your son past his test .:)
