Hi Guys,

I am thinking of buying one of these :

 

Charging Socket

 

I want to run my sat nav and dashcam from it and possibly charge my phone occasionally.

I have been told that because of the clever CAN system on my 2006 1.2 Fabia Estate that I can not just take a live feed from the auxiliary position of the ignition switch. 

 

Can someone please advise me where and what I can wire it into.

Ive done it on my 06 1.2 hatch, no problems just used a fuse piggy back on the rear windscreen wiper which was an ignition live

I just bought a power bank instead, i run my dashcam off the cigarette lighter and my phone and sat nav can be charged using the power bank.

Rerouted mine, added on off switch too

I did as clarendon462 had done, bought one of those piggy back fuses and fed the dual socket and dual USB from the rear wiper fuse.

I have the sockets stuck on to the underneath of the centre console with Velcro and it is working fine thanks
