Last chance week

Featured Replies

I had heard it elsewhere but had almost disounted as another rumour that last Yeti orders were to be taken this week.

However was on the phone to my dealer today about a possible new fabia for my wife, and discused my Yeti order.

Not yet confirmed but should be built in 3 weeks time.

Dealer then told me that no more customer specced Yeti orders will be taken by Skoda after 24 April. Production will cease at a now fixed but not revealed date, probably in late June. Any available remaining build  slots will be used for stock to send out to dealers to sell. So there will still be some new ones around for a bit yet but no chance to decide on colour with specific desired options inless you find exactly what you want in stock.

Well that's it orders for new customer optioned builds have closed.

Must have been a last minute rush as Skoda had to close the orders on Friday 21st.

Presumably once every available slot to end of production was sold.

I bet there were dissapointed punters over the weekend who left it too late!

If there was a rush it would be about the 3rd time this year after the 2 previous times it was posted online that orders on factory builds had ended in the UK.

So has the fat lady finally left the building?

No, I think she's still in the aria

(Anyone in Bob's Corner, or must I drink alone?)

I just jumped in at the right time. Ordered a Quartz Grey SEL Drive 4 weeks ago and collect it next week. I went expecting to hate it and order an Octavia but I was really impressed so I ordered one.

Not seen any Quartz Grey ones on the road, that I can remember. Have you taken any photos yet? :)

I've got a Quartz Grey SEL Drive, previously had a Lava (Petrol) Blue Elegance. Quartz Grey is one of those colours that changes subtlety in the light, it has a subtle green tinge in some lights.

Difficult to photograph it to bring out the depth of colours, you really need to see one in the flesh to appreciate it.

Mine's Quartz Grey, too.  Think of Anthracite with a tinge of Amazonian Green.

Yeti has finally disappeared from Skoda's configurator, so it seems I jumped in at the right time as well.

My thanks to all on here who provided the up-to-date information that ensured I didn't leave it too late.

Not yet. I picked it up on Tuesday but the weather has been outstanding here since Monday, too warm and sunny to be washing cars and it's really dusty in less than 2 days. Once it gets a bit cooler I'll get it washed, put a coat of Gtechniq C2 on it and take some photos.

I hadn't seen any in Quartz Grey Yetis myself and ordered it blindly based off a Superb in the showroom. Glad I did. It looks amazing in the sun, even behind a layer of dust!
