Hi when i drive to work i start in the dark and arrive in the light , which didn't used to be a problem because if i opened the door and the lights were still on a audible alarm went off, but the alarm has stopped working and i have left my lights on twice in a week. I have to say the car on returning 8 hours later has started first time on both occasions . i fear i might not be as lucky a third time , please help.

The 'door open' microswitch in the driver's side door lock module has failed, or the wiring to it/connections to circuit board have.

Try giving the top rear corner of the door a clout while the light's-on alarm should be on but isn't.
