New owner, advice needed!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have just brought a 2009 Octavia 1.4tsi DSG what I'm very impressed with 39-48MPG!

I just have a couple of questions;

• I have the non maxidot digital display, but what are my coding options eg DRL ETC?

• I have the bolero with only a AUX/SD connection, is it possible to add Bluetooth, DAB and iPod connection or would I be better of going for something like the Dynavin N6 as I think I would prefer to keep the reverse and climate picture on the display?

• Every time I end a journey and turn off the car then go out again it seems to reset both MPG on the display, is this normal or something I can change?

Regards

DAB would require a different Bolero with the DAB board I'd say, plus aerial, OEM bluetooth modules can be retro fitted. They are a separate module.  Edit: Also IPOD connection is possible with MDI installation but if you were doing Bluetooth it may be sufficient. Costs will be ramping up doing all that.

Regarding trip computer are you on trip 1 or 2. Trip 1 resets every trip unless stop / start within 2 hours.  Trip 2 continues until some computer upper limits are reached (I can't remember right now but >1,000 miles). You toggle between 1 and 2 with the button underneath the wiper stalk.

im not sure you can code the DRL's without the maxidot, think you'll need vcds.
