Why hasn't my r.spoiler peeled?

Featured Replies

Just askin'?

12 years old, and still original paint with no sign of any peelment.

Have I just been lucky, or am I just simply marvelous?

Anyone else?

Same here Adenuff. Mines black pearlescent in case your wondering. No signs of peeling at all.

Not going fast enough ;)

I do wonder if the cosseting it's received has something to do with it.

The polish and wax layers are probably thicker then the paint!

Mines Black Magic too btw.

Clearly the best colour choice then.

Love it!

My silver vRS is still going strong. The black one has peeled right off pretty much. (119k vs 179k)

Guess the black one has seen some speed in its time :D

edit: 2005 vs 2003

I think almost all red ones have gone now.. I know mines ****.

My mate bought my red one off me last year, 182k and still in pristine nic today

Mine seems fine, again another black one 12 years old 116k.

just to say starting to get some tiny rust spots on the rear arches though :worried:

Depends where u live too.  Yaris came over with a car from England.  His vrs had done same mileage and apart from scratches was absolutely mint.  Yet mine lives in Scotland and now up in the Highlands and has bubbles and rust on sills and where quarter panels meet rear bumper.

Not a sign of it on my 2004 Lemon Yellow VRS either.

In 100% perfect condition. I'm thinking its been protected all it's life.
I've now added about 4 layers of wax on it :)
