Tailgate wiring loom part number anyone?

Featured Replies

Evening all, my '57 reg Roomster was in for oil & filter service today, I went to collect it, found the boot unlatched while other doors locked.

We found the tailgate loom inside that flexi connector had two broken wires and several more with their insulation splitting.

My garageman soldered the broken ones (had to insert some extra wire on one), temp fix, can anyone supply me the part number for the replacement loom kit (presume it will have to be spliced inside the NSR pillar).

Many thanks.

Hi Malcster,

Many thanks for your very prompt response, have passed the part number to my garageman, he's fitting new front dampers today, then attending to the wiring.

Lucky I can manage without the car for best part of a week!

BTW, I did a Brisky trawl last night, came up with a 2015 post that included a German supplier, Sencom, part SKU 888913, at 58.67 euros plus P&P, but can't seem to connect to that.

So very glad of your help!

These was one on eBay Germany a dealer selling that sold for €50 euros

If I'm honest having worked in a vw parts department we didn't keep harnesses in stock so that must have been ordered wrong or not needed

As a rule if he has spliced some new wires in that is usually enough maybes if he hasn't extend all the wires through the trunk get him to do them all as routine
