Instrument Cluster Glass

Featured Replies

Hi. Is it possible to replace instrument cluster glasses? If possible, where can i find the new glass?

Taking the glass out of the instrument cluster is pretty easy - the cluster comes out once you drop the steering wheel to its lowest position and undo the bolts holding the cluster in, hidden under the trim panels. Taking the cluster apart is a matter of undoing the obvious screws and then unclipping the front by sliding a small screwdriver down the rectangular holes in the plastic pins going through the assembly. As far as I know the cluster is sold as a complete unit only (For about £1000), so you may need to find a scrapped car to get that part on its own.

Thank you for the reply. It seems that i have to remive cluster and clean the glasses.

The clear cover is almost certainly plastic. If you are removing it to clean it I would suggest using something like Meguiars PlastX which is formulated for cleaning and polishing clear plastic like headlamp lenses.
