So both the SEATs have minor dings

 

Mine has a near-invisible crease in the rear door which just annoys me when the sun hits at a certain angle, and SWMBO's was hit by a rock thrown up by a lorry, not only chipping the paint but putting a tiny dent in the bonnet too.

 

Do we go with Chips Away or similar franchise?

 

Or get the local(ish) bodyshop to do the work?

 

Of course I want a quality job but I'm fairly tight so what would others do?

Has no-one on here ever needed body repairs?

I've used a local smart repairer previously, they did a really good job and you couldn't tell there was any damage previously. I think with any franchise it depends on how good your local technician is. Maybe pop into your local used car dealer and ask who they use? Or maybe search a local facebook page for recommendations.

 

I need to get something repaired on my Citigo but it's not smart repairable unfortunately 

My hail damaged Falcon was return unmarked without any painting needed.

Chips away are franchises so it'll depend on your local guy. Could be great; could be crap, you'd need to try to get a local opinion.

 

Same for the bodyshop tbh, a local recommendation is the best way to go.

I've used Chips away, again like Aspman said, it depends on the franchisee.

 

The chap I got pointed towards by Chips away did a decent job. although he was operating out of a unit rather than mobile.
