No boost but not in Limp Mode PD130

Featured Replies

Hey guys, got a problem with my Fabia. Problem is that I have a massive boost leak and have no power whatsoever under boost and there seems to be a very apparent hissing noise as well. Turbo blew up about a month ago and had a replacement put in straight away. I noticed that the intercooler pipes on the top side( intercooler to ASV connection) and the right angle boost hose on the bottom side of the intercooler as well as the intercooler had seen better days and I replaced them too. This did not seem to work so I replaced the ASV as the connection between the boost hose and ASV seemed too loose for my liking.

To add to the problem, the car is not in limp mode and I believe this to be causing the turbo to overspeed and therefore I'm kinda scared to drive it.

My doubts are with the bottom boost pipe (metal one to the cold side turbo outlet) or the EGR Delete blanking plate not being tight enough on the manifold.

Any other ideas?

All of the parts were sourced from VW itself so I dont think this could be a problem

Have you checked the rubber seals are in correct inside couplings?

It all gets worn and sloppy with age,  get it up in the air a bit and have someone push throttle a wee bit while your round about it.

Tbh take it back to who did turbo

I’ve had the same problem for a year with my mk1 fab vrs se 07 plate no boost but no engine light on either last week I bought a straight through de-cat pipe for the car fitted it today and it’s lyk a whole new car the power in unreal so my advice would be to try cleaning the cat out there is products that concentrate on the cat either that or buy a straight through pipe mine cost me £60
