Sportline Specification - Ireland

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am hoping that some of the Irish owners of Sportline spec Superb's could help. I am considering a 190bhp manual hatch and I simply cannot work out the actual spec of the Sportline in Ireland. One main question I have is whether it comes standard with the Columbus or Bolero Infotainment system, I believe the Columbus is standard in the UK but have conflicting information for Ireland.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

The reason for the confusion is that on the car configurator, when choosing a trim Sportline is not listed, instead you can select it a pack for the Ambition (second lowest spec in Ireland) and the Bolero unit is standard on the Ambition. Not having the Columbus has significant knock on effects for extras. Skoda.ie shows items such as TV Tuner, Phone box, Canton, etc none of these are standard, the brochure or price list do not list equipment levels for the Sportline.

In addition to the black interior the sportline pack adds the following;

This pack includes:

  • "DRIVING MODE SELECT"
  • "PARK DISTANCE CONTROL"
  • "REAR VIEW CAMERA MID"
  • "SUNSET"
  • 3 spoke multifunction leather steering wheel (SPORTPAKET)
  • Alloy wheels 18" Zenith
  • Black moldings
  • "Keyless Entry"
  • Climatronic (3-zone) with rear air conditioning control panel
  • Colour "MAXI DOT"
  • Decorative door sills
  • Decorative interior
  • Exterior mirrors with memory feature, auto-dimming, power-folding/adjustable, separately heated
  • Interior ambient lighting
  • Pedal cluster
  • Power seat adjustment with memory feature for right seat
  • Power-adjustable lumbar support for right front seat
  • Radiator grille
  • Rear shock absorption for sports version Rear spoiler
  • Seat trim covers in part-leather "Sports Grain"
  • Shock absorption in front
  • Sports comfort seats in front
  • Sports package

What you have listed is pretty much what you get with the Sportline pack in Ireland. I can confirm you do not get the Columbus navigation with the sportline pack. In fact there is no navigation included with the sportline pack in Ireland. I specced my car with the Amundsen navigation as I wanted Traffic sign recognition (Nav is a prerequisite for TSR) because the Columbus navigation was coming in at €1600 list whereas the the Amundsen navigation was circa €400. I am glad I did this as I use the Smart-Link with Android Auto which allows live Google Maps on the cars screen. What you do get as standard is the 8" touchscreen screen which is nice :)

Thanks CTRob, the A5 camera was my concern also. Information on the Sportline in Ireland from Skoda is very poor.
