Hi all,

When washing the car today I realised that the headlight doesn't line up properly, I tried taking it out and putting it back in but its still the same, everything else on the light lines up apart from near the grille.

 

Any advice anyone?

Id say  you need to pull the release lever and push it back in.

It looks as if it hasnt clipped into place.

If that fails check the operation of the lever and the underside of the light where it secures into.

I looked at the tray/plate it screws into and loosened the screws and moved it around but i still couldn't get it to sit at the right place!

That looks very similar to mine when some numpty reversed into me in a car park......(there is a thread somewhere).

 

I did get £500 out of it off their insurers and apart from having to re-set the internal adjusters and jiggle the holder fittings to reasonably straighten the headlamp, got away with it after re-aligning the beam for the mot.

 

I would put money on yours has had a good bump from 45 degree impact.
